In addition, he secured multiple scholarships from international universities, with a combined value of USD 36,688 (equivalent to nearly VND 1 billion).
An outstanding academic and extracurricular profile at BVIS

Having joined BVIS HCMC in 2018, Gia Hung has built a well-rounded academic and extracurricular portfolio with a range of notable achievements, including:
- Achieving 4 A grades in AS Level Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Economics
- Achieving 7 A* grades in IGCSE examinations
- Gold Medal at the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival
- ABRSM Grade 6 Piano (Merit)

Alongside his academic achievements, Gia Hung has actively engaged in a variety of personal and professional development opportunities:
- Running the Python Programming Club at BVIS, teaching students to program through Python
- Completing an internship at a software company, gaining insight into real-world application development processes
- Developing two personal coding projects, including a finance application and a website project
- Participating in two competitions (SVIIF and iCAN) involving technology-based prototypes
Pursuing a passion for Computer Science and Quantum Computing
With a longstanding interest in technology, Gia Hung identified Computer Science as the field he wished to pursue at university, with a longer-term ambition of exploring Quantum Computing - one of today’s most advanced and promising areas of technology.
To prepare for this pathway, he selected Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science at A Level, alongside Economics at AS Level. The A Level curriculum provided him with a strong foundation in logical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Beyond the classroom, Gia Hung completed an internship at a software company in Ho Chi Minh City, where he gained first-hand experience of application development within a professional environment.
In addition, he actively participated in international innovation competitions, including the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival, where he was awarded a Gold Medal, and the International Innovation and Invention Competition in Canada (iCAN). He also completed two personal coding projects: a finance application and a scented candle website. Through these experiences, Gia Hung independently learned and applied programming languages such as JavaScript, as well as web development technologies including HTML and CSS.

Building on these experiences, Gia Hung went on to run the Python Programming Club at BVIS during the 2025–2026 academic year, helping students develop computational thinking skills and gain exposure to programming through Python.

BVIS supporting the journey to the top university
Beyond academics, Gia Hung believes that BVIS’s supportive learning environment has played an important role in his personal growth and development.“The support from my teachers, the close-knit student community, and the opportunities to explore my interests have helped me develop both academically and personally. Throughout my university application journey, BVIS helped me explore different university options through Global University Fairs and supported me in researching courses and preparing my applications,” Gia Hung shared.

His achievements reflect not only academic excellence, but also initiative, perseverance and a commitment to pursuing his passion. We are confident that the strong foundation he has built during his time at the school will continue to support him as he embarks on the next chapter of his journey in the field of technology.
