Last week, our Smile Club, part of our commitment to community service, had two trips to the Operation Smile medical mission at the National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology.

'It was clear that all the students took away something from the experience. It was more than just a sore thumb and aching muscles. They left Tanzania with a new set of skills, developed their problem-solving, experienced cultures that were nothing like they had seen before, made a lot of new friends and, most importantly, impacted on the lives of people who remain less fortunate than themselves' - Gareth Owen, Head of Learning Support (BVIS Hanoi) shared about the student expedition trip to Tanzania 2018.

[Hanoi], 12 July 2018 – In collaboration with UNICEF, secondary school students from Nord Anglia Education, the world’s leading premium schools organisation, have converged in New York City for seminars, debates and speaking opportunities, including presentations at the High Level Political Forum at the Headquarters of United Nations.

The best place to learn a language is outside the classroom and on our trips the pupils are exposed to a lot of English.

The children in Year 2 visited the Platinum Cinema in Royal City as part of their IPC ‘Media Magic’ topic.

School trips are such wonderful opportunities for the teachers and TAs to spend time with the students in an informal, relaxed setting and to get to know them better.

The purpose of the trip was primarily to give the children some bonding opportunities. We wanted some of our older students to form relationships and new friendships with the children that have started at BVIS this year.

Over the past 10 years or so the Forest School program has become much more popular in the UK.

Our 44 Year 9 and Year 10 students left school very early on Tuesday morning (12th May) for a 3 night trip to SaPa.

Our first day began with a challenging hike to the river, it was hot, the children were tired, but the views and the feeling of accomplishment at the end made it very worthwhile.
