WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL PRIMARY CURRICULUM?
​The IPC guides teachers and students through three Learning Goals: Subject, Personal, and International.
Daily learning focuses on a central theme, encouraging students to make connections between the knowledge they receive and real-life situations.


WHAT IS NATIONAL CURRICULUM FOR ENGLAND?

It's a core part of the formal curriculum taught in English schools. National Curriculum divides education into 4 Key Stages and 12 subjects. It aims to build the knowledge necessary for students to be considered educated individuals.

The first year of Primary starts on our Early Years campus to gradually prepare children for the challenges of the new stage. During Year 1, students visit the Main Campus where they continue their education from Year 2 onward.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • When does the school start?
    For the academic year 2026/2027, the first day of school is 25th August 2026.
    For the new students, we organize an Orientation Day on 24th August, so they get to know our facility and staff before the official first day of school. For more important dates, check our school calendar.
  • Can I enroll my child in the middle of the semester?
    Yes, here at The British School Warsaw, we accept admissions throughout the entire year.
  • What foreign languages do you teach?

    At TBS Warsaw, we believe that learning foreign languages is a key part of international education. From Year 4, our primary students can choose between French, German, and Spanish.

  • Is Polish a part of the curriculum?
    Yes, Polish is available to everyone starting in Year 1. Depending on their level of familiarity with the language, students are divided into two groups: native and non-native, so if your child has never studied Polish before, there are no entry barriers.
  • My child doesn’t speak English much. Will they be all right?

    Yes! Our English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme is designed to support newcomers with little or no English. At TBS Warsaw, children learn English very quickly thanks to our immersive English-speaking environment.

  • Do students wear uniforms?
    Yes, all Primary students need to wear uniforms. New uniforms can be purchased via trutex.com/eu. There’s also an option to buy second-hand uniforms – available each Monday from 8:00 to 8:30 AM on the main Campus at Limanowska 15 Street.
  • Does the school provide textbooks?

    Yes. The necessary textbooks and materials are provided by the school or via online platforms.

  • Is the screentime regulated by the school in any way?
    Yes. Our school is a part of the Yondr Phone-Free Schools Programme. It means that upon arrival, each student is placing all their electronic devices in the designated pouch, locking it in front of the teacher. At the end of the day, students unlock their pouches at designated stations. This way, with the help of the staff, students can access their phones, if necessary, while not risking being distracted during classes.
