STA student Andy wins Siam Cup Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament

Over the summer holiday St Andrews International School Bangkok student Andy won another gold medal at the Siam Cup Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition.
Competing in the Male Teen Heavy (74 kg) division, Andy secured first place in the 15 July 2017 tournament. We wish him continued success in the future.

St Andrews Year 12 students shone at the UK Chemistry Olympiad 2026, tackling questions that ranged from the chemistry of Doritos and swimming pools to medieval Uzbek mineralogy. Their curiosity and resilience earned impressive results: Kenji achieved Gold, Eclair Silver, and six students Bronze, with others gaining Participant Awards. Kenji’s Gold places him in the top 8.5% nationally and secures him a spot at the Cambridge Chemistry Camp.

Julianna, a member of the Class of 2025, has been accepted to study Medicine (MBBS) at Queen Mary University of London, Malta. Driven by a passion for biomedical sciences, genetics, and the origins of disease, she prepared through rigorous studies (IB Higher Level Biology and Chemistry), pre-college courses, observing medical procedures, and volunteer work with Operation Smile, focusing on early disease detection and access to medical treatment.
