We are excited to announce the latest University offers coming in for our Class of '26!

At NAIS Pudong, STEAM is an important part of our primary school curriculum. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths, and at NAIS Pudong we also incorportate History and Geography into these lessons. When teaching STEAM, our teachers always consider these three principles: make it clear, make it practical, and make it local.

That’s why we’ve partnered with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) - one of the world’s most pioneering universities - to bring a spirit of innovation, experimentation, and creativity into every Nord Anglia classroom.

In an education system that often directs attention towards the highest achievers and those who need the most support, the learners in the middle can sometimes be overlooked – not intentionally, but simply because they seem to be managing well.

We are pleased to share that four of our Year 10 and Year 11 students, Michelle, Eashan, Charlie, and Linus, represented NAIS Pudong at an Oxbridge Preparation Day hosted by our sister school, BISS Puxi, on November 10.

In today’s interconnected world, English is more than a subject on the timetable. It is a global tool for communication, access and opportunity. The ability to use English fluently touches every part of a young person’s life: academic success, social confidence and future career prospects. Organisations such as the British Council have documented how English can drive economic and educational opportunity across countries, making language learning a strategic investment for families and schools alike.

Congratulations to NAIS Pudong’s Yoshiki, now in Year 12, who achieved an outstanding A* in IGCSE Mathematics.

Congratulations to Tyler, who achieved A* grades in both IGCSE Business Studies and Geography!

Congratulations to Aomi, who recently achieved an A* in IGCSE French and an A* in IGCSE Foreign Language Mandarin, after joining NAIS Pudong just two years ago in Year 10.

Congratulations to NAIS Pudong's Charlie, who recently achieved an A* in IGCSE Mathematics as an early entry candidate (when he's in Year 10), sitting his exam a full year ahead of his peers.

Nord Anglia International School Shanghai, Pudong (NAIS Pudong) celebrates another exceptional year of International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma results. The Class of 2025 achieved an impressive average score of 37 points, significantly surpassing the global average of 30.58. Among these outstanding results, one student earned a near-perfect 43 points, reflecting both individual dedication and the school’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

After years of learning and growing at NAIS Pudong, Kayson successfully completed his high school journey with firm enthusiasm and unremitting efforts. Standing at the node of graduation, he is about to go to Raindance Film School in London to start a new chapter of his creative life.

After years of hard work, passion, and perseverance, Tia has proudly completed her journey at NAIS Pudong. As she prepares to embark on an exciting new chapter at the University of Brighton, we celebrate the incredible journey and growth she has experienced.

After more than a decade of relentless learning and passion, Yeonjin is now standing at the threshold of a new chapter - one shaped by curiosity, courage, and an impressive range of university courses offered by G5 institutions and other global education leaders.

Earlier today we held our termly Principal’s Award Ceremony, this time recognising outstanding creativity across all year groups from Year 1 to Year 13. These awards celebrate students who have demonstrated exceptional originality, artistic talent, and innovative thinking throughout Term 2. Whether through the arts, music, writing, science, or problem-solving, these students have inspired their peers and teachers with their unique approaches to learning and expression.

Following from our recent article about two of our students being selected as finalists for the John Locke Essay Writing competition, we’re delighted to share that current Year 13 Yeonjin K has been awarded a High Commendation overall, securing not only the prestige that comes from the competition, but also a valued scholarship for a residential programme with the John Locke Institute in Singapore.

NAIS Pudong IB students Tia B and Yeonjin K have been selected as finalists in the prestigious John Locke Essay Writing Competition, advancing to the final round with their essays in Philosophy and Economics.
