The British School Yangon recently hosted its much anticipated production of Pantastic – The Peter Pan Musical, and the evening was nothing short of spectacular. Families, friends, and staff gathered to celebrate the creativity and confidence of our students, who brought the timeless story of Peter Pan to life with remarkable energy and imagination.

The third MIT Challenge at BSY was an inspiring showcase of creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Students were tasked with reimagining how buildings could withstand extreme environments, pushing them to think beyond traditional design and into the future of resilience.

This past weekend, the British School Yangon proudly hosted the World Scholar’s Cup 2026 Regional Round, welcoming an extraordinary number of schools and students to our campus. The event was a vibrant celebration of learning, collaboration, and global community, with hundreds of young scholars engaging in debates, quizzes, and team challenges.

At the beginning of Term 3, BSY was delighted to welcome the Jacana Project into school for a bespoke enrichment workshop that combined ornithology and art for our Year 6 students. This inspiring experience brought together arts education, real-world conservation learning, and hands-on skill development.

We are incredibly proud of our BSY students who recently took part in the FOBISIA U11 Games, competing against some of the strongest schools in the region. Despite the extremely hot conditions, our young athletes demonstrated outstanding resilience, bravery, and determination throughout the event.

Our students at The British School Yangon, Nord Anglia brought curiosity to life last week with a vibrant STEAM Exhibition that transformed our campus into a hub of discovery and innovation. Parents, teachers, and classmates joined together to explore, question, and celebrate the creativity of our young scientists and innovators.

BSY is proud to celebrate the success of our U19 football team, who achieved third place in the recent MISAC tournament through determination, teamwork, and excellent sportsmanship.

Music has a special way of bringing people together, and before Term 1 ended, our BSY community gathered to enjoy something truly inspiring — the IMP (Individual Music Programme) Concert. It was an afternoon filled with energy, creativity, and the kind of confidence that only comes from students doing what they love.

We are proud to share that Angel, a student from The British School Yangon, attended the 43rd COBIS Annual Conference as the only student from Myanmar, representing BSY on the global stage. 🌍

After a thrilling tournament filled with skill, resilience, and teamwork, our U19 Girls Volleyball Team proudly claimed the title of MISAC Champions! The U19 Volleyball season has started on a high note for BSY, with both our Girls’ and Boys’ teams securing wins in their recent matches.

The British School Yangon is proud to celebrate the outstanding success of our students in this year’s IGCSE examinations. Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence have resulted in exceptional achievements that reflect both their hard work and the high standards of education at BSY. 

What a spectacular performance! Our talented students lit up the stage with Sherlock and Cinders, delivering an unforgettable school play that captivated the entire audience. From the eye-catching costumes to the brilliant acting, every moment was a reflection of their creativity, commitment, and teamwork. 👏✨

We are proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our Year 13 students as they graduate from The British School Yangon.

What a wonderful way to wrap up our bread unit! Our Year 5 Bread Exit Point was a huge success, and we’re so proud of everything the children achieved.

On Thursday, May 26th the British School Yangon held its first ever Year 13 graduation!

Taking inspiration from the British Theatre group DV8, students were asked to create a performance using responses on "what is home". 

"Generation Mask" was the title of last term's project.
