World Mental Health Day was on Tuesday 10 October 2023. This is an annual event which is recognised globally to help raise awareness of mental health issues, talk about mental health, and show everyone that mental health matters.

Our graduates’ university placements included many of the world’s leading destinations in the UK, US, Hong Kong and Europe. Much of this success can be attributed to academic achievement.

During the week leading up to the festival, Chinese department teachers skillfully linked out curriculum and learning objectives with traditional activities, focusing on language development through many activities.

The British School of Guangzhou is delighted to share our outstanding A Level and AS results for 2023. Following A Level examinations 53% of students achieved A* - A and 74% A* - B.  These exceptional results are even more extraordinary in the context of significant grade reductions in the UK.  BSG achieved 53% A* - A compared to the UK at 27%.

We are celebrating amazing results today, 49% of our IGCSE cohort achieved A* - A (9 – 7) and 91% - A* - C (9 - 4).

Kaz (year 10) and Federica (year 12)  spent summer representing the British School of Guangzhou in New York, at the Unicef Summit in July.

The British School of Guangzhou celebrated Year 13 graduation in style last week in a glittering ceremony in front of proud parents, staff and distinguished guests.

In two dazzling ceremonies, in front of proud parents and staff, BSG Secondary students received academic, sporting and community service awards last week, accompanied by virtuoso musical performances by BSG students and teachers.

What a very special morning we shared for our Year 6 graduates. It was a ceremony which included some very powerful themes to reflect on.

The Secondary Arts Soiree was undoubtedly a triumph, showcasing the remarkable creative and performing-arts talents of our secondary students.

Congratulation to BSG scholars on their recent success in the annual World Scholars Cup competition on June 10th and 11th, 2023.

During this week audiences at our afternoon matinees and evening performances have been taken to Neverland and the world of Peter Pan by the cast and crew of our Primary Production.
