Thanks to the overwhelming support of our parents and the generosity of sponsors, we are thrilled to announce that we raised a staggering amount of RMB148,094 for our two chosen charities, Guangzhou Gold Ribbon and Huiling School. This remarkable achievement demonstrates the power of collective effort and the impact we can make when we unite for a common cause.

Year 7-10 students recently completed their residential week in Hong Kong with our partners, The Hutong group. Aside from being a hugely enjoyable experience, residentials provide our students with a unique and transformative learning experience that extends beyond traditional classroom settings.

The British School of Guangzhou hosted the final of the BSG Young Musician Award which took place in the BSG Theatre from 19.00 – 20.30 on the 23rd of November.

The Secondary Performing Arts Showcase held at BSG Secondary School was a truly exceptional event that highlighted the immense talent and dedication of the students.

The last week of October saw the Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 students from BSG head away for an exciting range of Residential Camps with our partners ‘The Hutong’.

We are still buzzing with excitement from the electrifying BSG Got Talent Music Final which took place on Friday the 27th of October at our very own Sports Hall in front of the whole of the Secondary School.

Last Friday's Parent Support Group meeting and bake sale brought representatives of our school community together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

World Mental Health Day was on Tuesday 10 October 2023. This is an annual event which is recognised globally to help raise awareness of mental health issues, talk about mental health, and show everyone that mental health matters.

Last Saturday, Four Seasons was transformed into a magical place as 100 senior students of the British School of Guangzhou gathered for their prom. The theme for the evening was Old Hollywood, and the organizers did an excellent job of creating a vintage set up that transported everyone back in time.

BSG held a successful International Day charity event on Saturday, thanks to the hard work and dedication of supporters from across our whole school community. The event featured country stalls from Poland, China, Great Britain, Korea, China Taiwan, Ukraine, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Kuwait, and Malaysia, making it a truly diverse and inclusive affair.

At our Olympic Park campus, we have a dedicated STEAM room. There is a wide range of resources available for students and they are encouraged to explore the room and choose activities independently during our Active Learning time.

We have been able to donate Hopeful Hearts the sum of 50,000RMB.

On Thursday BSG hosted the Guangzhou International Schools Elementary Sports U11 football tournament.

On Tuesday, we celebrated international Pi day, March 14th or 3.14. Students have been engaged with Pi and Mathematics related activities all week. Monday saw a ferocious competition between houses answering increasingly difficult maths questions.

On Tuesday our U14s Volleyball teams played their final game of the season in the GISSA Championship at UISG.
