The STA Thai Service Project supports Ban Pang Mahan School in Chiang Rai, aiding hill tribe students. This year's Songkran fundraising included selling popcorn, shaved ice, and custom items, raising substantial funds for educational resources and environmental causes. St Andrews Bangkok hosted the first blood drive with parents, staff, families and student donors on Friday 30th September 2023. A total of 87 units of blood was collected and a total of 115 registered donors. Senior Studies students also had a fantastic CAS Service opportunity to support their peers and donate blood themselves. 

It was great to see High School students returning to school after their Residential experiences at a whole host of locations within two to three hours’ drive from Bangkok.

Over the past two terms, all of our Primary School students in their classes have taken turns to experience a virtual safari from our international school in Bangkok to Chiang Rai to learn from the hardworking heroes at the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation (GTAEF).

Pi-oneers foundation is a student-led organisation aiming to provide digital education in underprivileged communities by providing necessary equipment and resources. Our goal is to partner with underprivileged schools in Bangkok that seek digital education.

The St Andrews community unite to raise a whooping 559,400 baht (£12,520) in a creative way for our vulnerable Klong Toey neighbours. The Klong Toey area is buckling from the burden of COVID-19 infection, significantly affected by the financial downturn, leaving many families in very tragic circumstances. Our students, parents, and teachers have all come together to make a difference.

As part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, we care deeply about making a difference in people’s lives, especially those of our students, parents, teachers, staff and school community. All funds from this year's week without will be donated to Baan Luk Rak in Khon Kaen. A children’s home we have visited as part of Service week 2019.

Year 13 students have over the past few weeks created some excellent posters for their Core Days, which were held this week. These posters highlight CAS experiences at St Andrews International School Bangkok. This week the experiences of Aashish, Gaya and Tar are highlighted in their posters.

Mr Jon Clark invites interested current Year 10 and Year 11 parents, guardians and students to an information session on Operation Wallacea on Tuesday, 10th September at 8:00am.

Last week 5 year 12 students travelled to Chiang Mai to work with the Baan Dek foundation.
