What an exciting time this is for the Aquatics Department at St Andrews International School Bangkok. During the summer, as we basked in the glow of remarkable news of our swimming coach and athlete qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games, the result made it even better. In just a few months’ time, the Sports Leaders programme at St Andrews International School Bangkok has seen remarkable progress. The participating students have all risen to the occasion and stepped into leadership roles, making a positive impact on their peers and on our community as a whole.

Two students from St Andrews International School Bangkok, Niio and Nina, participated in the Thailand Junior Water Prize 2024, showcasing their design for a water management system that reflects the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.

It was great to see so many children and older students attend the “Come and Try” activities last week. These certainly made both campuses feel very alive after school.

I am delighted to congratulate two of our Year 9 students who entered the recent NAE Global MIT Steam challenge. Carina and Pun Pun entered this competition videoing themselves as they moved through the different stages of their design process to create excellent models.

On the 4th of May, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) welcomed the group from St Andrews so that students could further understand the advances that the world-leading professors are making in Science and Technology as part of the exclusive relationship that Nord Anglia has with MIT.
