At St Andrews, community is a lived experience shaped by connection, belonging, and lasting relationships. From Early Years and Primary School, students build strong bonds through shared learning, cultural celebrations, and meaningful experiences that help them feel part of something bigger. These friendships often endure well beyond school, as seen in the story of Kayou and So Yoon, whose connection remained strong across time and distance. Defined by a culture of showing up for one another, St Andrews is more than a school. It is a place where relationships begin early, grow deeply, and continue long after students leave.

Julianna, a member of the Class of 2025, has been accepted to study Medicine (MBBS) at Queen Mary University of London, Malta. Driven by a passion for biomedical sciences, genetics, and the origins of disease, she prepared through rigorous studies (IB Higher Level Biology and Chemistry), pre-college courses, observing medical procedures, and volunteer work with Operation Smile, focusing on early disease detection and access to medical treatment.

Eloise reflects on her experiences representing St Andrews International School at the annual Remembrance Day service hosted by the British Club in Bangkok. She expresses her deep gratitude for honouring the sacrifices of fallen soldiers and the pride she feels in continuing a family tradition while representing her school and community. Eloise emphasises the importance of this meaningful event in fostering remembrance and appreciation.

STA alumni Famous and Enya from the Class of 2022 recently visited our High School, sharing their experiences and insights into the BAScii program at Chulalongkorn University’s School of Integrated Innovation. Their stories captivated students, offering inspiration and guidance on the exciting paths available through this innovative program. This is another proud moment for our school as STA graduates continue to excel and support our community.

As part of the St Andrews Careers programme, Year 10 and Year 12 students had the valuable opportunity to hear from 20 industry professionals, including alumni, about various career pathways. The morning panel discussions provided insights into professional routes, required qualifications, and essential interpersonal skills for workplace success.

As Term 3 comes to an end, three senior students, Eleonore, Natalie, and Ananya, reflect on their experiences in the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews International School Bangkok. Perhaps one of the most meaningful projects Ananya and Natalie took on during their senior studies was starting a foundation with a few other friends called Today4tomorrow – an initiative to provide opportunities to underprivileged girls in Thailand.

This year’s Graduation marked the end of High School for the 119 graduates in the Class of 2024 at St Andrews International School Bangkok. With nearly half of the graduates having spent their entire secondary education at St Andrews, the ceremony celebrated their academic achievements, personal growth, and sense of community. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our graduates and wish them the very best in their future endeavours.

At St Andrews International School Bangkok, our learning environment is designed for each student to shine in their areas of strength. Take one of our young talents in Design Technology, T.T., who certainly has a bright future ahead of him. We sat and had a talk about his experience going through the IB Diploma Programme, his passion for architecture, and his plans for university upon graduation.

As Term 3 approaches, Senior students Pin and Siddharth reflect on their experiences in the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews Bangkok. Siddharth, recently accepted to study Sanskrit at the University of Oxford, finds the IB Diploma rigorous yet liberating, while Pin, accepted to study Economics at Brown University, appreciates the collaborative nature of their Senior experiences. Both agree that the programme has provided them with more than just academic excellence, fostering global perspectives and camaraderie. Their success stories highlight the school's commitment to nurturing resilient global citizens.

To shed light on this thrilling transition, on 13 December 2023 a group of St Andrews alumni, who have successfully navigated or are currently going through their university years, popped by our High School campus for a visit.

On Friday 1st September 2023, we welcomed alumni Andy and Taisei (STA Class of 2019) back to our High School. Both were an incredible source of inspiration and invaluable wisdom for our current Year 13 students. It was great catching up with both of them and we look forward to more alumni visits in the near future.

Saturday night’s Graduation of the Class of 2023 was a lovely evening, celebrating the end of their St Andrews journey for 100 Year 13 students, along with their families and their teachers.

IB results at St Andrews International School Bangkok are consistently above the global average, and our Class of 2023 were no exception. We pride ourselves on inclusivity. We celebrate diversity and strive to create the best learning environment for our students to thrive.

Over the years we’ve been very lucky at St Andrews HS Drama Department to have taught wonderful IB Theatre Arts students. As a group, they are keen to stay in touch and regularly come to visit us to say hello and share what they’ve been up to.
