Our students have achieved beyond their expectations with a record 36 Average Point Score and 100% pass rate. Whilst the global IB average has also risen this year to 32.99, our result continues to widen the gap when compared with other IB schools around the world. This result also showcases the difference that Nord Anglia Education schools bring to students’ academic results.

Students in Libuš had the opportunity to visit the UN Office in Prague. Michal Broza, the Officer in Charge, gave our students a talk on the work of the UN and some of the biggest global issues it is currently dealing with. The students discussed the effects of climate change and their role in advocating for sustainability.

In children, there is a direct link between how they feel and how they behave: they feel good-they behave well, they feel bad-they behave badly. Some aggression is normal and even healthy (especially these days) and not necessarily bad but aggressive behavior in children can also be a symptom of many different underlying problems.

Our music team competed in the European Music Live! Festival, winning six of the twenty competition categories. The three-day festival allowed our musicians to perform and compete in front of a live audience again and we are so proud of the way in which they rehearsed, participated, and supported each other throughout. They also had the chance to mix virtually with students from the other seven schools, in workshops and the Big Music Quiz.

On Thursday 17 September, Sofia K., a year 13 student from our Libus campus, shared her perspective on important global issues in a United Nations Voluntary National Review (VNR). Sofia was asked by UNICEF to share some key messages with governments and other decision-makers who are currently developing national plans to implement the SDGs.
