Khmer class at Northbridge International School Cambodia is generally comprised of a fun, learning opportunity that allows students to share and express their knowledge within a Khmer-speaking environment, and Grade 11 is no exception in terms of this.

The Northbridge International School Cambodia Grade 4 and 5's have been training this past unit in PHE for a biathlon (running and swimming). This unit focused on goal setting and students working towards their personal bests.

This semester, Northbridge International School Cambodia Grade 8 students in Design were given the opportunity to make prototype toys for a target audience outside of their age range. This experience culminated in a consumer testing session that reinforced their understanding of the intrinsic purpose of design.

We are only in pre-season, yet the Northbridge International School Cambodia Senior Boys Football Team has already registered its first major success at the 8th Human Rights Tournament hosted by CIA First International School.

What a fantastic semester it has been for sport in our Northbridge International School Cambodia Primary Years Program. Our students have had the opportunity to participate in YAPP, Nord Anglia South East Asia Games and The Human Rights Football Tournament. With this busy schedule it is sometimes hard to keep track of how all of our athletes did, so here is a recap of all the amazing sporting success of our youngest Nagas.

Our second Parent Phonics Workshop at Northbridge International School Cambodia saw many parents of students in Early Learning to Grade 2 joining in with some exciting, hands-on activities to help to develop phonics understanding in children.

Northbridge International School Cambodia students from Grade 12 have been bringing to an end their Internal Assessment in science. Very interesting investigations were carried out this semester by our seniors with the guidance of the DP Science teachers. Their results will be submitted for external moderation next year.

On the weekend of 8-9 December, the Northbridge International School Cambodia Nagas football teams took part in the 8th annual Human Rights Football tournament in every division from U10 to U19.

Some parents at Northbridge International School Cambodia may have heard about occupational therapy but are not quite sure how it can support your student/child. Others might have been referred to an occupational therapist but do not understand why, especially since your student/child does not have an occupation yet. Finally, some of you may see that your student/child is struggling with certain skills, but do not know that an occupational therapist can help. If you fit into any of these groups, we have good news for you!

This past weekend our youngest Nagas athletes took part in the 3rd annual Nord Anglia South East Asia Games. Luckily, this year Northbridge International School Cambodia was hosting the games, which meant many families and friends could come watch all of our athletes compete.

Jefta Timmer was only 10 years old when she moved from her home in the Netherlands to India with her family. While she knew she would be leaving behind her old home, her childhood friends and her favourite foods, she had no idea that she would also be leaving behind her old perspective of the world forever.

Playing competitive sports can teach Northbridge International School Cambodia students many positive social behaviours and life skills, but above all they realise that true competition is about working on themselves.

Learning phonics allows children to build a solid foundation of understanding of how words work, which allows them to become great readers and writers. It is an integral part of learning for our lower Primary students at Northbridge International School Cambodia, and we have been working with parents on how they can support their children at home.

On Saturday 17 November, the Northbridge International School Cambodia Nagas Swim Team participated in their first international swim meet of the season hosted at ISPP. This swim meet was very challenging with 12 schools from Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia and about 293 swimmers. Our swimmers spent the whole day swimming up to nine events including the relays in a 11 hour session which combined both short and long course swims.

On the evening of 24 October 2018, 24 lucky students and 3 staff from Northbridge International School Cambodia started a long journey to Shamba Kipara camp in Tanzania. This was the start of their epic one week adventure on the Nord Anglia Global Campus Worldwide Expedition Programme that was to include helping to build a school, trekking to a waterfall, working with the locals to install solar lights and build goat sheds, and a safari spectacular.
