See how NISC students are moving beyond fundraising to create meaningful change through service learning, leadership, and community connection.

Academic excellence is at the forefront of education, and whilst our duty as teachers is to foster this, we also have the responsibility to open students’ eyes to the wider world and their social responsibility within it. Service- learning, or service as action, combines in school learning with supporting local communities, encouraging students to independently research local issues and take action to support those in need.

Last week, our Principal Ms Frances shared the first Issue of Nord Anglia’s Insights magazine, which features an article detailing Nord Anglia’s Social Impact Programme and some of the many ways in which our students at Northbridge International School Cambodia are encouraged to participate in improving the world around them.

In the Primary Years Programme (PYP), including at Northbridge International School Cambodia, 'action' is considered to be both an application of learning and an opportunity for students to engage in a form of contribution or service.

Helping others has always been at the heart of the International Baccalaureate curriculum, giving Northbridge International School Cambodia students the opportunity to engage with the world around them and develop both empathy and the organizational skills necessary to make a change in their world.

Jefta Timmer was only 10 years old when she moved from her home in the Netherlands to India with her family. While she knew she would be leaving behind her old home, her childhood friends and her favourite foods, she had no idea that she would also be leaving behind her old perspective of the world forever.

An educational fair for more than 200 Cambodian Children's Fund (CCF) children was held on Saturday 28 April at Northbridge International School Cambodia (NISC).

Grade 10 students lead by Kanya, Thanakon and Nimol organised a Khmer New Year and tribute party for our hardworking cleaners, maintenance staff and gardeners.
