From February 5th to 9th, six MET students joined 137 others from Nord Anglia schools across the Americas to take part in one of the most inspiring events of the year: the Performing Arts Festival, The Americas 2025, hosted this time in Houston.

Laura Rea, Music Teacher and Southeast Asia Regional Lead for the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme at the British International School, Hanoi (BIS Hanoi) says studying the performing arts can help students gain key skills and qualities to prepare them for their future.

In May 2018 the Metropolitan School of Panama's choir performed "Tonadas del Trópico Niño" at the Ernesto J. Castillero National Library. Tonadas del Trópico Niño is a collection of 24 songs published in 1955. The pieces were composed for young voices and piano by renowned Panamanian musician and educator, Gonzalo Brenes.

Students at the Metropolitan School held a year end concert to promote a message of peace, love, friendship, hope and solidarity with people from around the world.
