Grade 5 Graduation Ceremony

On June 8th, 2018, Léman International School celebrated the graduation of our Grade 5 students. The ceremony was held to celebrate the next step for our students as they moved from the 5th grade to the 6th grade. This is a big step for our students as they are leaving primary and moving to a whole new world of secondary education.
During the morning class time, Mr. Johnny Wilson, a teacher in the middle school, conducted an introductory learning session for the Grade 5 students to answer questions and get to know what life is like in Grade 6. Our current Grade 6 students wrote letters to the Grade 5 students to demonstrate the similarities and differences from Primary to Secondary.
Later in the morning, Ms. Mindorff and Mr. Pass presented an informational session to the Grade 5 parents about life in secondary school. Parents were introduced to the different policies, curriculum, and adjustments that the Grade 5 students will have to make.
The Grade 5 Graduation was held in the 2nd Floor Cafeteria and the ceremony was catered by the Grade 5 parents. After touching speeches from Ms. April, Mr. Richard, and Mr. Ryan, the students were presented with their graduation certificates and a “Growing Up” care package that had essential items for their next step in life. Students, parents and teachers then celebrated with a fantastic feast with international flare. Congratulations Grade 5 and good luck on the next step of your journey!
