Who says summer is far away? Registration is now open for the Champittet Leadership Camp!

This year, our Christmas market, which will take place on 18, 19 and 20 December in the garden of the Villa des Sciences, has a goal that is particularly close to our hearts: to raise funds to support the Jan & Oscar Foundation, created by Laurence Pian, the mother of one of our students who suffered a great tragedy in 2004.

The internet opens doors to a world of information, but learning to use digital tools wisely is a critical step in every student’s education. Our 9th graders recently received a special visit on the topic of cyber safety from Vaud Cantonal Police Officer François Nanchen.

A Champittet education invites students to broaden their horizons and set their sights high – and this is especially true when it comes to choosing a university! Last month, our campus was buzzing with energy and excitement as our high school students and families joined us for our annual university fair.

As educators, we believe it’s our job to set a positive example for future generations, and raising awareness of sustainability issues is key to this mission. On October 9th, our parent association APEC and school leadership team held a special event at Collège Champittet to celebrate sustainable mobility.

Boarding at Collège Champittet offers the opportunity to enjoy exceptional adventures not only in Switzerland, but also around the globe! Recently, a group of our boarding students travelled to Oman to spend an unforgettable two weeks immersed in culture and nature.

Our FLE (French as a Foreign Language) department specialises in helping students from around the world to master the French language and thrive in a francophone environment.

Whether through our collaboration with The Juilliard School or our Cultural Season of world-class concerts, Collège Champittet is committed to bringing the performing arts to our students. And as our youngest students have learned, it is never too early to discover the pleasures of music!

Artificial Intelligence promises major developments. Like other technological developments, this one is unfolding before our eyes without changing our daily lives all at once, but we can be sure that AI will change our lives over the coming decade.  

For many years, Collège Champittet has proudly organised an annual humanitarian trip to Madagascar to support our Foundation’s work. The Collège Champittet Foundation is committed to several humanitarian projects in Madagascar, including maintaining an orphanage and providing free education and meals to children in need.

Music occupies a central place in the College's curriculum, through the Juilliard approach, in association with dance and drama. It is celebrated through the College's Cultural Season concerts, which see world-class artists perform in the intimacy of the chapel.

Our middle and high school students set off to explore urban hubs and rural landscapes across Switzerland and Europe. Our Cultural Trips are eagerly anticipated here at Collège Champittet, and our latest voyages for students in Grades 9 to 14 were an absolute blast!

Our Digital Leaders are 6th graders at Collège Champittet with a passion for technology. They not only have exceptional skills, but are eager to help others solve problems by learning how to use digital technology.

At Collège Champittet, we believe that health and safety are essential to a well-rounded education. In September, we held special workshops for our primary and secondary students to learn fundamental skills in road safety and accident prevention.

Extracurricular activities are a great way for students to develop their skills and discover new passions. From sports to the arts and foreign languages, we have more than 40 extracurricular activities at Collège Champittet – including several brand-new activities for the 2024-25 school year!

We had the privilege of welcoming French pianist Paul Lay, one of today’s most brilliant jazz musicians, to inaugurate our new Cultural Season at Collège Champittet. This is the first time in our history that we’ve opened our Cultural Season with jazz – and what a concert!

While graduation marks a unique transition for our final-year students, the end of the academic year is a special time for the whole school.

In response to the growing need for psychological support, we have invited mental health experts to speak with our students while also introducing new initiatives to support wellbeing at school.

As the school year draws to a close, I've come to realise that you should never underestimate a student.

Two of our Champittet students, have soared to the finals in the Nord Anglia Education STEAM competition from the European region.
