Primary Principal
Dear Families,
General Updates
- If you decide to get out of your car at dismissal, please wait along the gate for your child. This allows for a clear path for staff to escort children to their cars. Once you pick up your child, please clear the area. This helps us maintain a safe and efficient dismissal process.
- On Tuesday we had our first ES house morning meeting of the school year! We heard about what to look forward to this year and participated in a game show. You can find photos from the morning meeting linked in this newsletter!
- We are excited to host our all-school Open House on August 31 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Please check the General Information section of this newsletter for more detailed information.
Día del Niño
We will celebrate Children’s Day on Friday, September 9th! EC students will participate in a carnival-themed morning full of activities and a shared snack. Our ES students will work as a team to navigate through a scavenger hunt, complete class challenges, and end the morning with a shared snack. Parent Reps will help organize a shared snack for each class.

Swimming
The swimming unit for EC starts on October 17 and ends on December 16. The second swimming unit starts on March 20 and ends on June 15.
The first swimming unit for ES starts on September 20 and ends on October 14. The second swimming unit starts on January 16 and ends on March 17.

Students can wear their bathing suits to school or change before class. Athletic style bathing suits must be worn (one or two-piece suits with no buckles or strings).
Packing list: swim cap, goggles, bag for wet clothes, towel, sandals, and a change of underwear.

Early Release
Prek to First Grade - A parent or authorized adult MUST pick up their child from the house office. This applies even when a family notifies the office and teacher about early dismissal.
Second to Fifth Grade - These students may walk by themselves to the gate. This only applies to those students whose parents were previously notified via email that will pick them up at a certain time. If no previous notice is given to the secretary and teacher then the parent must go to the house office to pick up their child.
EVERY STUDENT THAT NEEDS TO LEAVE CAMPUS EARLY WILL NEED A RELEASE PASS FROM THE EC/ES OFFICE. ONLY AUTHORIZED INDIVIDUALS WITH A SCHOOL ID CAN ENTER CAMPUS TO PICK UP STUDENTS. THE PERMANENT PERMISSION FORM MUST BE UPDATED EACH YEAR.
