School Updates

After two years of implementing a number of zero waste initiatives at school, you can see the report here (LINK), we have reached the point where CDS will receive the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA-ZWCR) recognition of being “On the Road to Zero Waste”!

Over the last year our school has been involved in a self-study process for our re-accreditation with Middle States Association.

EC & ES After School Activities will begin on Monday, September 2nd for the enjoyment of students ages Kinder through grade 5. Activities will end on Thursday, December 5th. A letter with all of the information will be sent the first week of school.

On March 6th, we had scientist from Raising Coral Costa Rica, an NGO focused on natural coral restoration, visit the school.

High School students work in committees designed to simulate the United Nations and collaboratively propose research-based solutions to problems actually tackled by diplomats and heads of state in a form matching that of UN resolutions and amendments to said resolutions.

Country Day School hosted Health & Safety and Child Safeguarding Training presented by Nord Anglia Heads of Child Safeguarding, Operations, and Health and Safety

Friday, February 1st was World Read Aloud Day.

Last Tuesday, November 20, all of CDS students & faculty went BLUE in honor of World Children’s Day!
