The British School Yangon recently hosted its much anticipated production of Pantastic – The Peter Pan Musical, and the evening was nothing short of spectacular. Families, friends, and staff gathered to celebrate the creativity and confidence of our students, who brought the timeless story of Peter Pan to life with remarkable energy and imagination.

The third MIT Challenge at BSY was an inspiring showcase of creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Students were tasked with reimagining how buildings could withstand extreme environments, pushing them to think beyond traditional design and into the future of resilience.

This past weekend, the British School Yangon proudly hosted the World Scholar’s Cup 2026 Regional Round, welcoming an extraordinary number of schools and students to our campus. The event was a vibrant celebration of learning, collaboration, and global community, with hundreds of young scholars engaging in debates, quizzes, and team challenges.

The recent Year 5 and 6 residential trip to Pranburi, Thailand was an unforgettable experience that blended adventure, discovery, and personal growth. Over several days, our students immersed themselves in nature, embraced new challenges, and strengthened friendships in ways that will stay with them for years to come.

At the beginning of Term 3, BSY was delighted to welcome the Jacana Project into school for a bespoke enrichment workshop that combined ornithology and art for our Year 6 students. This inspiring experience brought together arts education, real-world conservation learning, and hands-on skill development.

We are incredibly proud of our BSY students who recently took part in the FOBISIA U11 Games, competing against some of the strongest schools in the region. Despite the extremely hot conditions, our young athletes demonstrated outstanding resilience, bravery, and determination throughout the event.

The vibrant spirit of Thingyan came alive at BSY with a joyful Myanmar New Year celebration that beautifully highlighted tradition, student creativity, and community unity. As one of the best international schools in Yangon, BSY continues to create meaningful cultural experiences that connect students with Myanmar’s rich heritage while embracing a global perspective.

Our students at The British School Yangon, Nord Anglia brought curiosity to life last week with a vibrant STEAM Exhibition that transformed our campus into a hub of discovery and innovation. Parents, teachers, and classmates joined together to explore, question, and celebrate the creativity of our young scientists and innovators.

On 10th March 2026, BSY students and teachers came together to celebrate Pi Day with enthusiasm, curiosity, and creativity. The event transformed mathematics into an engaging and memorable experience, highlighting how learning can be both fun and impactful.

Our recent Snowsports Expedition to Switzerland was an unforgettable adventure that highlighted not only the breathtaking beauty of the Alps, but also the resilience, spirit, and character of our students. From the moment we arrived, the group represented the British School Yangon with pride, enthusiasm, and maturity, proving themselves to be outstanding role models throughout the week.

BSY proudly celebrates Book Week annually as literacy is at the heart of education. Reading nurtures language, imagination, creativity, and confidence, and while technology continues to shape our world, the joy of books remains timeless. Book Week is an opportunity to remind students that reading is not only essential for learning but also exciting, inspiring, and fun.

At one of the leading international schools in Yangon, learning goes beyond textbooks. From EYFS to Year 10, our students recently participated in the exciting MIT Challenge 2: Building a Community, a dynamic, hands-on project designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

The final day of term at The British School Yangon was filled with warmth, excitement, and festive cheer as our EYFS and Primary students took to the stage for this year’s Primary Christmas Performance. Music has a special way of bringing people together, and before Term 1 ended, our BSY community gathered to enjoy something truly inspiring — the IMP (Individual Music Programme) Concert. It was an afternoon filled with energy, creativity, and the kind of confidence that only comes from students doing what they love.
