The Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan (AmCham) hosted a “Green Tashkent” conference on 12th March. This conference was dedicated to the launch of a national program to improve the ecosystems of Tashkent. The recycling program that is being developed is called MaxsusTrans.

News | Highlights Chess Championship 03-03
This year BST is hosting its first ever Chess Championship for charity on Saturday 13th March. The tournament is open to all young people from ages 10 – 19, with local and international schools each bringing 5-10 students. We hope to have 100 participants, with each participant paying an entry fee of 30,000UZS. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Ezgu Amal Foundation to fund chemotherapy for children.

20 year old Viktoriya Krestyanaya was born in Chirchik, Tashkent in 2000. Viktoriya has always loved communicating with people from different backgrounds and this love in trying to understand the view of others may stem from her unusual family background. Viktoriya’s is half Korean, a quarter German, a quarter Russian and a 100% proud Uzbek at heart.
