Save the Date – Just Chilla its Summer! – Mark the date for the most fabulous event of the year. The BST Summer Fair is on Saturday 29th May from 10 – 2pm at Kalandar Campus. Get your flip flop and shades ready for some serious fun with the BST family and lots of games, competitions and prizes all around health and happiness theme.

BST Lion Cubs returned to full competition at the Junior Football Club football tournament. Despite a long absence from sport and training, BST lion Cubs in three age categories competed well, showed amazing team spirit and total sportsmanship. A third place win on penalties, a fourth place loss on penalties and a second place group finish rounded off an amazing day. Thank you to all those that came to support the teams and their coaches!

As the only registered centre for the provision of The Duke of Edinburgh International Award in Uzbekistan, we'd like to commemorate HRH Prince Philip's lifelong legacy of service and dedication, by reflecting on how our students have developed independence, resilience and perseverance through the Award challenge which pushes for their personal limits and achievements.

Mr Andrey has been working at Sayram for just six months now and what a difference he has made! Sayram is always in immaculate order, from the play areas and gardens to the parking grounds and store rooms. The British School of Tashkent hosted its first ever charity Chess Championship on Saturday 13 March, and despite some unexpected guests, raised significantly more money than planned.

Each subject they explore, MIT professor they meet via Global Campus, expedition they go on to explore new cultures - all feeds into their ever-expanding view of the world and their place in it.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan (AmCham) hosted a “Green Tashkent” conference on 12th March. This conference was dedicated to the launch of a national program to improve the ecosystems of Tashkent. The recycling program that is being developed is called MaxsusTrans.

This year BST is hosting its first ever Chess Championship for charity on Saturday 13th March. The tournament is open to all young people from ages 10 – 19, with local and international schools each bringing 5-10 students. We hope to have 100 participants, with each participant paying an entry fee of 30,000UZS. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Ezgu Amal Foundation to fund chemotherapy for children.
