This week's blog was written by Mrs Stringer, Deputy Head of Primary. At BSKL, we deeply value the opportunities that come from learning outside the classroom. One of the most powerful examples of this is our school residential programme.

At BSKL, we firmly believe that fostering independence and autonomy in children is vital to their personal growth, confidence, and success.

We are incredibly proud of our young swimmers who competed at the AIMS Primary Swim Meet hosted by ISKL!

As part of their transition to Secondary, our Year 6 students explored the secondary campus recently by solving the mystery of Dr Brown’s missing key.

We are thrilled to share the wonderful results and experiences from the recent MSSS swim meet held at PADE.

Praise plays a vital role in supporting student wellbeing and motivation, particularly during exam periods when pressure and stress are often heightened. In these high-stakes moments, students may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or uncertain about their abilities.

On Friday 18th and Saturday 19th April, BSKL proudly hosted the prestigious World Scholar’s Cup—a global academic tournament that brings together students from across the world to compete in four challenging academic events over two exciting days.

As we reach the end of a fantastic Term 2, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that has happened over the past few months.

This week, I had the pleasure of being involved in the interviews for next year’s Head Students.

On Saturday 15th March, four teams of talented students from BSKL participated in the prestigious Garden International School Inter-School Science Conference 2025.

Over the past few months, our talented students have been hard at work preparing for our latest school production, Legally Blonde. After four incredible performances, we are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding success of this vibrant and uplifting musical.

Our school’s young scientists showcased their incredible talents at this year’s BSKL Science Fair, held on February 20th.

At BSKL we pride ourselves on our wonderful assemblies that celebrate the diverse cultures at school, represented through our curriculum and in our community.

In today’s digital world, our children are constantly surrounded by screens, social media, endless notifications, and the pull of online content.

This week, I had the pleasure of being involved in the interviews for next year’s Head Students.

"What did the students say about their Euclidean geometry test? It was easy as pi!"

As part of our annual transition programme, Year 6 students had the opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with members of the Secondary Student Council on the morning of Wednesday, 19th March.

During our school assembly on 20th February, we were honoured to host a Malaysia Airlines pilot, Captain Azrul Hizam bin Mohammadiah to give a talk to our Secondary students.
