LokHin Yip

Raised in the UK, Lokhin grew up in a family-run Chinese takeaway before pursuing a degree in Engineering at Birmingham City University. After completing his engineering studies, he decided to follow his passion for education, earning his teaching degree at the University of Warwick. He went on to teach in the UK for five years before moving to Hangzhou in 2020, where he taught high school mathematics with a focus on CIE A-level and IGCSE.

Lokhin views learning as a journey where mistakes are valuable steps toward understanding. His goal is to help students become independent thinkers and confident problem-solvers, while fostering curiosity and a love for asking questions. He believes today’s generation will shape the world in the years ahead and is excited to be part of BSG, supporting students as they prepare for the future.

Outside the classroom, Lokhin enjoys discovering good food, playing basketball, and go-kart racing.
