Congratulations to our BSG Year 12 student Ethan, who has been selected to participate in the MIT Student Trip - an exciting and unique opportunity to learn from MIT experts, explore innovative technologies, and connect with peers from across the NAE family.

This year marks a remarkable milestone — the 20th Anniversary of our school! For two decades, we have grown, learned, and achieved together, shaping a community built on excellence, care, and shared values.

It’s been Primary Residential Week at BSG, which is always a big week for everyone - but especially for Year 3, as it was their very first time staying away with the school. We headed out to Zhengguo for two brilliant days of adventure and challenge.

Last week saw the much-anticipated return of Primary BSG’s Got Talent, with two exciting stage finals held on Monday.

On 10th October, the stage at BSG was ablaze with energy, creativity, and pure talent as students from Years 7 to 10 lit up the Live Finals of BSG’s Got Talent!

In Year 2, our Traditional Tales unit is coming to a close, and what a wonderful journey it has been! The children have had great fun exploring the world of traditional tales, with a special focus on our core text, The Three Billy Goats Gruff.

Following the theme of leadership, it is a pleasure to announce the 5 House Captains for each House this year. At BSG we have so many students' leaders and a great deal of them were 'Brave' and put themselves forward for House Captain.

We are delighted to announce this year’s Primary House Captains! As part of the application process, pupils submitted either a letter or an iMovie explaining why they believed they should be a House Captain and how they represent our school’s core values.

Over the past two weeks in our Nursery class, we have engaged the children in a variety of activities that support their mathematical development, alongside our broader curriculum in English, phonics, and cross-curricular areas.

Year 3 had a rocking start to the week as we launched Times Table Rock Stars with a very special Rock Day.

BSG is excited to re-launch our Little Learners Programme for children aged 9 months to 3 years. Families are warmly invited to our beautiful campus to join fun and guided learning sessions with our caring, experienced teachers.

At The British School of Guangzhou, Leadership Week is more than just a calendar event, it’s a celebration of student voice, personal growth, and the values that shape our learning community. This year, the spotlight was on our Year 12 students as they stepped forward in the selection process for Head Student, a role that embodies responsibility, empathy, and the spirit of service.

Year 7 have been busy turning ideas into action! This week, the class focused on planning scientific investigations, thinking carefully about variables, steps, and methods to make their experiments reliable.

This was a big week for the four Houses, the sign up for applying for House Captain has been emailed out to all students.

As we begin a new academic year, it's the perfect time for students to reflect, reset, and set meaningful goals for the term ahead. Goal setting is more than just writing down ambitions—it's about creating a clear roadmap for personal and academic growth.

Thursday 21st August marked the final IGCSE results day of the year, and we could not be more proud of our students and their incredible achievements.

The British School of Guangzhou is celebrating another year of outstanding success in A level results for the 2024/25 academic year. With an impressive score of 62% A* - A and 82% A* - B and 100% A* - E, significantly higher than the UK average of 28.2% A* - A. These phenomenal results reflect the school’s commitment to academic excellence.
