Mihaela Chesaru

BA, PGCE, CELT

Mihaela is a lifelong learner and has always known that teaching was her calling. She earned her first double degree in English Literature and Language and Chinese Literature and Language in her hometown of Bucharest, Romania. She went on to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the University of Sunderland in the UK and also holds the Cambridge English CELT-P qualification, which equips her to effectively support children learning English as an additional language.

Continuing her own journey as a lifelong learner, Mihaela is very proud to announce that she has recently completed her Master’s Degree in International Education at King’s College London, further deepening her knowledge and understanding of education in international settings.

This is Mihaela’s 11th year at BSB Shunyi, with many of those years spent in leadership roles. During this time, she has had the privilege of watching countless children grow, flourish, and reach their full potential. Along the way, she has built treasured relationships with families that she deeply values.
Mihaela is also excited to take on the role of Social Impact Lead, creating opportunities for the school community to make a meaningful difference both within and beyond BSB.

Mihaela looks forward to continuing making a positive impact this year and to be part of each child’s journey as they learn, grow, and thrive.
