Eric Quast

BA, BA, Med, Referendariat (German equivalent to the PGCE)

Eric graduated from the University of Siegen. He completed two Bachelor programs (English/German, German/Social Studies) as well as a Master of Education for teaching German and Social Studies at high schools and chose “The economic significance of German in an international context” as the topic of his Master’s thesis.

After graduating from university, Eric began his teaching career at a bilingual high school in the German city of Düren, where he earned his teaching qualification for both German and Economics. He emphasizes using mistakes as opportunities for growth and interdisciplinary work. Creating a supportive and challenging classroom environment is one of his highest priorities.

Joining BSB Shunyi in 2024 as a Secondary German Teacher and IB Diploma German Language and Literature teacher, Eric is excited to contribute to the school’s dynamic, globally-minded atmosphere that nurtures and enhances each student’s potential.

Outside of school Eric is very passionate about Kung-Fu and travel. He likes to go skiing in the winter and swimming in the summer. His favorite book is “Sapiens: A brief history of mankind”.
