‘Under the sea… Under the sea… it’s better down where it’s wetter… take it from Nursery!’ It’s been some fun and wet learning with our theme ‘Under the Sea’.

Year 3 Puffins recently embarked on an exciting project, crafting a miniature Stonehenge from polymer clay.

In the fairy tales created by our brilliant Year 5 students, little flowers can talk; useless garbage becomes citizens who have the right to vote... I can’t wait to read more of these fascinating stories!

We have been singing and dancing to songs about snow and exploring sensory trays all about winter!

This week the children have had their multiplication and division hats on in Maths!

Thanks to their hard work, determination and enthusiasm towards their learning, Storks earnt themselves a trip over to the cookery room as their Marble reward.

This week the children have been practising different dodge ball techniques of dodging, throwing and catching.

The children made their own playdough polar bears to put into their arctic diorama and presented them to their friends, describing what they had made…

Can you wriggle like a worm? Can you fly like a butterfly? Can you crawl like a spider? We can do all of these things in Reception!

We choose stories set in various countries that deal with both pride and belonging, we encourage students to discuss, respect and celebrate differences, and through humanities, students are exposed to world music, cuisine, dress and dance.

Through doing different activities such as artic small world pretend play and making some crafts such as a penguin headband, we have been able to go on and talk about some adventures of our own.

The students are very excited to be back in school after a pleasant winter vacation. Children in all Chinese classrooms have had a busy and fun week.

On Monday, the Upper Primary children started their new Enrichment courses.

So much time and efforts have been put into the most anticipated show of the year here at BSB Sanlitun and it was truly wonderful to see that Year 5 finally made it possible to present their stunning ‘Christmas with the Aliens’ to their parents on Wednesday 13th December. Bravo to all!
