Our Year 12 Biology students recently travelled to the DNA Learning Centre in Suzhou for an exciting and enriching two-day experience in modern genetics and biotechnology. Affiliated with the world-renowned Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a leading biomedical research institution since 1890 and home to eight Nobel Prize winners, the centre provided students with a unique opportunity to experience advanced molecular biology techniques firsthand.

Recently, the school received excellent news as our Year 11 early entry IGCSE Mathematics students received their results from the November examination session. The outcomes were absolutely outstanding, with every student achieving a Grade 8 or Grade 9, and the majority securing the highest possible grade. These results reflect both the students’ commitment and the high level of support provided by their teacher.

The Flowers of War is one of the books that aligns with the syllabus for IB Chinese A Paper 2 that we study. The story is based on the Nanjing Massacre, so last week, we took an educational trip to Nanjing. During the trip, we visited The Memorial Hall of the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre, which provided us with a deeper insight into the book's descriptions. This experience greatly enhanced our understanding of the book and facilitated the analytical process. Additionally, we visited Wuyi Lane, a location referenced in the book.

The TOK exhibition is an internal assessment component that is marked by the teacher and moderated by the IB.
