We are delighted to announce the phenomenal results of our 2021 International Baccalaureate graduating class at the British International School of Chicago, South Loop. A total of 30 students sat the full International Baccalaureate Diploma at British International School of Chicago, South Loop. The average score from our Class of 2021 was 37, the school’s best ever and 4 points higher than this year’s IBDP global average of 33, widening the gap between British International School of Chicago, South Loop and other IB schools around the world.

On Thursday, November 12, Year 7, Year 8, and Year 9 students British International School of Chicago, South Loop sat the online contest during a math lesson in the American Mathematics Competition or AMC 8.

The Virtual Games concluded this weekend with nail-biting FIFA 20, Madden 20, and Rocket League finals as well as an exciting Celebrity Rocket League tournament! Students had a wonderful time, made new friends, and exhibited great digital citizenship and sportsmanship values throughout the entire tournament!

Last year, the Student Sustainability Team made several incredibly successful changes to the school, including implementing composting, clothes swaps, and giving multiple presentations on environmentalism. In order to continue this positive action, while also following coronavirus guidelines, BISC will be trialing Meatless Mondays for the month of January. Every Monday the school lunch option will be meatless, however, meals the rest of the week will be served as usual.

The National Honor Society (NHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1921. Learn more about these four pillars of membership here.

Introducing Eco Circle International, a non-profit founded by BISC Year 12 students, Chloe Y and Georgia S. Initially known as British International School of Chicago, South Loop “Student Sustainability Team”, they spent the lockdown transforming a school club into an international organization. ECI's aim is to provide education on the intersectional environmental crises and mobilize youth through a fellowship to organize sustainable initiatives around the globe. We are very proud to share the results of our Seniors at the British International School of Chicago, South Loop. Our students achieved exceptional results in this year’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

The Global Games is a five-day multi-sport event that unites students in Year 7-9 from 14 Nord Anglia schools across The Americas.

It’s game on at our America schools as students get ready to compete in this year’s Global Games
