BISC's Butterfly Garden

Year 4 & 5 have been busy gardening! They were issued a challenge to prepare a plot of land that will be excavated into a Butterfly Garden. This is part of the Butterfly Highway which is a part of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation. Students are sowing the seeds for 7 plants native to North Carolina. Over the next 6 months, the seeds will germinate and the children will be caring for them. The butterfly garden will help promote and bring in local pollinators to the area for the whole community to enjoy.
