BISB middle school students Paris Noble and Arlan Abzhanov were both recognized this month for their performance in the American Mathematics Challenge.
The American Mathematics Challenge is an annual competition taken by middle school students in schools across the United States. At BISB, students in Years 7-9 participated in the competition this year.
This week, Year 7 students Paris Noble and Arlan Abzhanov were recognized as the top two performing students at BISB and were recognized by the American Mathematics Association as outstanding Year 7 students.
Arlan, who participated in the competition as a member of the Russian School of Mathematics, was additionally recognized for scoring in the top 5 percent of all competition entries, just missing out on the top 1 percent.
