Junior Saigon Mathematics Competition 2019
Junior Saigon Mathematics Competition 2019 On 30th November 2019, three teams each consisting of three incredibly talented young mathematicians participated in the Junior Saigon Mathematics Competition 2019.
On 30th November 2019, three teams each consisting of three incredibly talented young mathematicians from our Secondary School participated in the Junior Saigon Mathematics Competition 2019.
The teams were as follows:
- BIS Team 1 - Yule Un Park, Joshua Kang and Jae Yeon Ryu
- BIS Team 2 - Kathy Do, Quynh An Tran and Serena Lee
- BIS Team 3 - Tim Nguyen, James Cho and Jun Woo Park
The three teams competed against 27 other teams from 9 schools. The squad performed extremely well with BIS Team 1 ranking 1st at the Individual and Relay, BIS Team 2 winning the Pass it Back and BIS Team 3 gaining 2nd for the Individual. Overall, BIS Team 1, 2 and 3 finished at 1st, 2nd and 5th place respectively. One student from Team 1 - Joshua Kang took home the Champion Individual award!
This was the best collective effort on record from a BIS HCMC team at a Saigon Mathematics Competition. Congratulations to all team members, we look forward to celebrating your future mathematical accomplishments!
