A message from the chair of the Library Student Leaders, Debbie Tran of An Phu Secondary Campus. She introduces the newest addition to the library, which is the eBook collection, along with what it is, how to use it and a tutorial to downloading the app.

This week was kicked off by the Year 4 fashion show which brought their International Primary Curriculum unit, 'Fashion', to an exciting end. The children had the opportunity to wear clothes that they had designed and made themselves over the past few weeks.

The Seoul Model United Nations (SEOMUN) conference plays host to some of the best student debaters found in Asia.

This year saw the British International School, Phuket host their 15th year of the Soccer 7’s Tournament, and of course, we were there!

On Monday 28th November we were treated to a recital by the concert pianist Quang Hong Luu. It was a great privilege for BIS HCMC to host Mr Luu who is normally based in Sydney, Australia.

On Friday 25th November a wonderful event happened that not only bought all of our parents together from each campus, but also raised money for an important long term BIS HCMC community partner.

Last Friday our U15 FOBISIA Games squad set off on their travels to Shanghai, to take on the competition at Athletics, Swimming, Basketball and Football. They competed against six other schools from all over South East Asia and did us proud. Here is a diary of their trip…

Following the amazing Sanguine Exhibition last week, the children have settled back into their individual learning.

During the first half term F3 focused on the story of ‘The Enormous Turnip’. This half term we are learning ‘The Little Red Hen’.

Each year, in November, the infamous 'Language Perfect' competition takes place. This is an online language competition against other schools in the Northern Hemisphere. This year there were 101 schools competing.

We are very fortunate to have had Kate join the EAL department this year. Kate is new to BIS but not to Vietnam and brings to the role a wealth of knowledge about Vietnam, the culture, the people and the food of course! Kate is from the UK and we are delighted she has joined our BIS community.

Today was a very special day at the British International School HCMC, as we welcomed a ‘legend’ of Vietnam. A man who has persevered through obstacles and setbacks to claim arguably the greatest prize in athletics.
