Our Class of 2025 has once again raised the bar, achieving outstanding IBDP results that place them among the best in the world. Congratulations to every one of our graduates, whose dedication and resilience have resulted in not only exceptional scores, but also outstanding university destinations across the globe. This year, our students achieved an impressive average IB Diploma Programme score of 36.3 points, significantly above the global average of 30.58 points. Over one quarter of our Class of 2025 scored 40 points or above, placing them in the top 10% of IBDP candidates globally, with 11 students achieving a score between 42 - 45, and one remarkable student achieving the perfect score of 45.

As we eagerly await the IBDP results, we take a look at the incredible offers received by our graduating class of 2025. They have already achieved remarkable success, receiving countless offers from the world’s leading institutions. They've received an outstanding 21 offers from 6 of the top 10 universities globally, including Imperial College London, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Stanford University, National University Singapore (NUS), and University College London (UCL).

At BIS HCMC, sport is more than just a game. It’s a vital part of a well-rounded education. Through dynamic fixtures, inter school competitions and inclusive sport opportunities, our students are encouraged to challenge themselves, work collaboratively and take pride in representing their school.

Students at BIS HCMC continue to achieve outstanding results on the global stage. This year, six of our graduates received a total of twelve offers from South Korea’s most prestigious universities, including all three “SKY” universities — Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University — as well as KAIST, SKKU, Hanyang University, and Chung-Ang University.

At BIS HCMC, our story is one of connection, continuity, and care — a place where learning begins with curiosity and ends with confident, compassionate graduates ready to shape the world. Earlier this year, we witnessed a moving reminder of this journey, as eighteen members of our Year 13 Class of 2025 returned to the place where it all began: Early Years Foundation Stages.

A team of BIS HCMC students has made history at the prestigious Conrad Challenge, held recently at the Space Center in Houston, Texas. Competing against over 4,700 teams from more than 50 countries, the BIS team won first place in both of the categories they entered – Best Power Pitch and the Glinsky Expo Award – an unprecedented achievement in the challenge's history.

We are thrilled with the success of our Class of 2025 graduates, with eleven students receiving multiple offers to the top three Canadian universities!  Congratulations to all of you! This year, we are proud to see no other than nine students receive offers from the University of Toronto with many of these students receiving offers also for McGill University and The University of British Columbia.  These prestigious institutions are ranked as the top three universities in Canada and in the top 40 universities globally!

Our Senior Educators from BIS HCMC joined over 200 international teachers and leaders from Nord Anglia Education schools at the South East Asia, Middle East and India (SEAMEI) Teaching & Learning Conference 2025 in Abu Dhabi, during Term 2. This prestigious event united outstanding minds in education to explore key themes shaping the future of teaching and learning: leadership, resilience, innovation, and inclusion.

We are thrilled that four of our Year 13 students have recently gained offers from ‘Elite’ USA universities.

With over 1,200 students, staff, and parents participating in the 5km run or walk, the event was a true reflection of the school’s commitment to fostering a strong sense of community.

At BIS HCMC, our Primary Expeditions are more than just school trips—they are life-changing expeditions that shape our students into confident, independent individuals. Earlier this month, our Year 4, 5, and 6 students embarked on thrilling journeys to Long Hai, Can Gio, and Cat Tien.

BIS HCMC students have once again proven their mathematical prowess on the international stage, achieving outstanding success at two prestigious competitions.

What do you do when you have school uniforms that are now too small, or you no longer need them, but you don’t want to simply throw them away? For BIS HCMC parents, Bibi, Margot, and Ying, this dilemma sparked an inspiring solution—the Parent Uniform Upcycling Team.

The BIS Community Rugby Co-Curricular Activity (CCA), in partnership with Rugby Cung Nhau (Rugby Together), is a powerful collaboration rooted in a shared vision: using sport as a tool to uplift and empower young people.

At BIS HCMC, leadership is more than just a title — it’s about inspiring others, fostering a sense of community, and embracing personal growth. This year’s Head Students, in Year 13, — Atom, JaeYeon, Tim, and Serena — embody these values with authenticity and dedication, each bringing their unique strengths, creativity, and passion to their roles.

BIS HCMC Barracudas competed at the FOBISIA Swimming Competition at Rugby School Thailand. Facing 16 schools from across Asia, our swimmers showcased exceptional talent, dedication, and sportsmanship in an unforgettable event, bringing home 3rd place overall!

We are thrilled to announce that a record three students from the BIS HCMC Class of 2025 have received offers from the University of Oxford, ranked number 3 in the world, and the University of Cambridge, ranked number 5 in the world. A huge congratulations to Quynh An, YeongSeo (Judy) and JaeYeon on their extraordinary achievement that sets a new benchmark for BIS students. These achievements come as BIS students begin to secure outstanding offers from top universities around the world, including USA, UK, Australia and Asia and these numbers will only continue to rise as more decisions will be made over the coming weeks.

We are proud to announce the achievements of ten BIS HCMC students who have been recognised with the Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards and Oxford AQA Go Further Awards 2024. These prestigious awards celebrate the highest performers in Cambridge and Oxford IGCSE exams across a wide range of subjects. This year, BIS HCMC students have excelled in Mathematics, English Language and Literature, Art and Design, Mandarin Chinese, Biology, Music, and Foreign Languages, showcasing the diversity of talent within our school.

Joining BIS HCMC in Foundation Stage 2 (F2) is a fantastic age to begin a lifetime love for learning, encouraged and nurtured by our experienced and committed class and specialist teachers, who personalise learning unique to every child.  We look back at what our F2s have experienced in less than one term already at BIS HCMC.

Last month it was an honour to welcome Mr Tim Rhys-Evans (MBE) to BIS HCMC for three days, to run a series of unique ‘Choral Singing Days’ for our students and wider community, as well as workshops  on university and career opportunities in the fields of music and performing arts. Mr Rhys-Evans is a renowned vocal teacher specialising in choral conducting and is currently the Musical Director at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and leader of the National Youth Choir of Wales. He is also the founder and musical director of the famous choirs; 'Only Men Aloud', 'Only Boys Aloud', 'Only Kids Aloud' and 'Only Girls Aloud'.
