Our Aide Memoire is at the core of what we do. Integrity has been explored and our Mini Council launched the Mini Library.

Last weekend our Model United Nations team were proud to host the first Regional online MUN conference for schools from Nord Anglia Education South East Asia and Middle East region. With a wide geographic range, navigating time zones and technology posed several challenges, but our leadership team rose to the occasion and produced as close to a face-to-face event as possible.

At BIS, children learn to write creatively and powerfully using ‘The Talk for Writing’ approach.

You may be thinking that in the 9 days that we have been Virtual Learning this term it has only been our academic curriculum that has been continuing...but this is not the case! While our students seamlessly transitioned into online classrooms for their lessons, a number of student leadership groups and CCAs also did the same, with our students taking the lead to ensure that they stayed connected and our projects and activities continued moving forwards during this time.

Another year over, and another 52 countries ticked off in our passports!

Never a school to miss an opportunity, we turned disappointment about cancelled expeditions into excitement about activities with our Biggest Ever Week Without Walls for the whole of Key Stage 3!

We recently took part in a NAE Global Campus Sports Competition, pitting our children against the best student athletes the Nord Anglia family has to offer from around the world. This competition consisted of a series of sporting events that united our schools in a time of difficulty, enabling our network to still compete against one another in events that could be performed at home and at school.

It gives me great pleasure to share with you news of a hugely successful week of learning on the Secondary Campus.

Last term, BIS entered the Nord Anglia Education Global Sports Competition, and the results were sensational! Read about just how well our students did on a world stage.

Every year, our parent organisation, Nord Anglia Education, hosts its global Creative Writing Competition for all students in the NAE family of schools.

In supporting the Mini-Council’s ideas of helping new students at BIS HCMC, the EAL Department have launched a new buddy-system scheme to help new arrivals at the EY&I Campus.

Throughout the last year we have all become used to adaptation, and responding to changing circumstances. This week we have, of course, had to make decisions to change planned activities in light of changing Covid transmission picture here in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Year of the Buffalo will be welcomed on the 12th February 2021, heralding one of the most significant holiday celebrations in Vietnam; the Vietnamese Lunar New Year!

This Monday, our team, the Thao Dien Disabled School club, ran a form time activity for the Year 9s to follow up on their Wellbeing lesson on the topic of “Accepting and Learning from others”.

On Tuesday 10th November 2020, our Junior Blue Swim Squad had their first Internal Swim Meet at the Secondary campus swimming pool.
