A good education is one which is broad, balanced and challenges students to engage in many ways of thinking, being and doing. As I look back at this last week at BIS, and ahead to the weeks to come, the breadth and variety of opportunities our students and staff are engaged in is quite remarkable.

The best thing that parents can do to support their child’s learning and development is reading with them.

A week with the parents! It was wonderful to see so many parents at our Primary Leadership Coffee Morning but additionally, it was fantastic to see such a great turn out for our Primary Parent Teacher Student Conferences.

As I write this first update of the new academic year, it is with great pride at how our school has pulled together to start the new academic year so successfully. To commence a new academic year with every student, every teacher and every member of our support staff physically apart, away from campus, each working in their own homes- is an incredible feat.

As a Year 10 student here at the British International School, Ho Chi Minh City, our incredible musician Sanny is awarded an internationally recognised ABRSM Diploma in performance on piano, equivalent to a higher level education certificate.
