From the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London to the University of Manchester, the University of Edinburgh, Trinity College Dublin and the University of Amsterdam, the BIS HCMC Class of 2026 is celebrating exceptional university offers across the UK and Europe following earlier successes in the USA, Australia and Asia.

Celebrating offers to leading universities in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and South Korea, as BIS HCMC students secure places at leading institutions across the Asia-Pacific region through our global curriculum pathway.

BIS HCMC warmly welcomed back 30 alumni from universities across the globe for a special event organised by our College and University Guidance Counsellor Team.  The day was led by four of our CUG Student Ambassadors, who helped connect current sixth form students with invaluable insights from life beyond BIS. The event was a resounding success, bringing together past and present students in a celebration of community, learning, and shared experience.

Our students have once again achieved outstanding results in the outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. In the June 2025 examination series 12 students earned 15 awards, including 7 Top in the World and 6 Top in Vietnam awards. One student also achieved Best across 8 Subjects - First place in Vietnam, an exceptional accomplishment that reflects remarkable academic breadth. Another student demonstrated an incredible accomplishment in a less studied subject, receiving a High Achievement award.

Our Class of 2025 has set a new benchmark for university destinations at BIS HCMC with an unprecedented growth in the number of BIS HCMC students securing places at the world’s top universities. Well over 50% of our students are joining universities ranked in the QS 100 world rankings. An incredible 34 students, that’s 32%, and almost one in three of our graduating cohort, are attending a QS Top 30 university worldwide. This is a huge leap from last year’s still very impressive 17%.

In their first full week as IBDP students, our new Year 12s gathered in the Founders’ Auditorium earlier this week for one of the most anticipated moments of their school journey so far: opening their long-awaited IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) results. As always, the air was initially full of nerves, hesitation and excitement — and then emotion, joy and pride — as all students celebrated two years of success, hard work and commitment.

Our Class of 2025 has once again raised the bar, achieving outstanding IBDP results that place them among the best in the world. Congratulations to every one of our graduates, whose dedication and resilience have resulted in not only exceptional scores, but also outstanding university destinations across the globe. This year, our students achieved an impressive average IB Diploma Programme score of 36.3 points, significantly above the global average of 30.58 points. Over one quarter of our Class of 2025 scored 40 points or above, placing them in the top 10% of IBDP candidates globally, with 11 students achieving a score between 42 - 45, and one remarkable student achieving the perfect score of 45.

We are thrilled that four of our Year 13 students have recently gained offers from ‘Elite’ USA universities.

BIS HCMC students have once again proven their mathematical prowess on the international stage, achieving outstanding success at two prestigious competitions.

We are thrilled to announce that a record three students from the BIS HCMC Class of 2025 have received offers from the University of Oxford, ranked number 3 in the world, and the University of Cambridge, ranked number 5 in the world. A huge congratulations to Quynh An, YeongSeo (Judy) and JaeYeon on their extraordinary achievement that sets a new benchmark for BIS students. These achievements come as BIS students begin to secure outstanding offers from top universities around the world, including USA, UK, Australia and Asia and these numbers will only continue to rise as more decisions will be made over the coming weeks.

We are proud to announce the achievements of ten BIS HCMC students who have been recognised with the Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards and Oxford AQA Go Further Awards 2024. These prestigious awards celebrate the highest performers in Cambridge and Oxford IGCSE exams across a wide range of subjects. This year, BIS HCMC students have excelled in Mathematics, English Language and Literature, Art and Design, Mandarin Chinese, Biology, Music, and Foreign Languages, showcasing the diversity of talent within our school.

Congratulations to our graduating class of 2024 who are embarking on the next chapter of their educational journey, at some of the top universities across the globe.  From Harvard University and UCLA in the USA, University of Cambridge and Imperial College London in the UK, Korea University and Seoul National University in South Korea to National University of Singapore, The University of Sydney, University of Toronto and University of Amsterdam, our students are off to the best of the best!  Not to mention other top Universities in Australia and Korea as students are currently applying and receiving offers for a February 2025 start at universities including University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales and Yonsei University.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 class of 2024, for their impressive IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) results. This incredible cohort of 155 students, our largest IGCSE class in the history of the school, have significantly surpassed UK and international averages and were awarded 97% of all grades at A*-C.  An incredible 62% of all grades awarded were at A*-A.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our class of 2024, with a cohort of just over 102 students, have achieved outstanding IBDP results, significantly outperforming all IBDP Global averages. Once again, the hard work, commitment, skills, and attitude of our students has been recognised with stunning academic results that place them among the very best worldwide. These results now provide our students with an astounding choice of some of the top universities worldwide.

We are extremely proud of our Year 11 class of 2023 on their incredible IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) results.   This remarkable class, our second largest IGCSE cohort of 130 students, were awarded 70.2% of grades at A* or A. It’s fitting that in our 25th year, 25 of these students achieved A* or A in all of their subjects, a truly incredible achievement.

A whole world of possibilities awaits our graduating class of 2023.  With 385 university offers so far, and many more still to come from Korea, Australia and Singapore, their remarkable IBDP achievements have opened pathways to some of the best universities and specialist institutions across the globe.

We are excited to announce that our class of 2023, the second largest cohort ever with 107 students have beaten all IBDP global averages! Once again, the knowledge, skills, and aptitudes of our students has been recognised with stunning academic results that place them among the very best worldwide.

It is with great pride that we announce that 10 BIS HCMC students received Cambridge Assessment Outstanding Learner Awards for their exceptional achievements in IGCSEs in 2022.

At the end of a very different and often challenging academic year for primary students, our end of Year Key Stage 2 ( end of Year 6) data is very pleasing.
