Changes to the Academic Calendar

Changes to the Academic Calendar On Thursday 28th August, we received notification that the Ministry of Education instructed ADEC (Abu Dhabi education council) to change the dates to ensure 3 weeks break at the end of Term 1. As such, Term 2 will now begin on Sunday 11th January and in order to ensure 190 instructional days, the February half term has been removed.

We wish to inform parents of an important change to term dates:

On Thursday 28th August, we received notification that the Ministry of Education instructed ADEC ( Abu Dhabi education council) to change the dates to ensure 3 weeks break at the end of Term 1.

As such Term 2 will now begin on Sunday 11^th January and in order to ensure 190 instructional days, the February half term has been removed.

We apologise for any inconvenience - this is a change which impacts all Abu Dhabi schools.

Once we have the official calendar sent to us we will post on the website (and change in our pocket calendars you may have picked up during orientation days).

For now, please note:

Term 1

• Starts Sunday 31^st August
• Eid TBC expected school closure 5^th,6^th and 7^th October
• National Day holidays TBC, expected Tuesday 2nd December and Wednesday 3^rd December
• Term 1 Ends Thursday 18^th December

Term 2

• Starts Sunday 11^th January
• Ends Thursday 26^th March

Term 3

• Starts Sunday Sunday 12^th April
• Ends Thursday 2^nd July
