Botanical Gardens

On Friday 22nd January, Year 2 took a trip to Jardim Botanico as an introduction to our new Science topic, 'Plants'. The children were able to spot a range of different flowers, trees and other types of plant. In the museum, they were able to see leaves and seeds from a range of species native to Brazil. As well as enjoying the greenery, the children were on the lookout for wildlife too. Unfortunately, they were not able to find any monkeys, but they did see some different types of bird, lots of creepy crawlies and even a few turtles enjoying the sunshine!
