Y1 studying Olympic theme

The students watched Olympic opening ceremonies from Beijing and London as well as viewing various highlight compilations of multiple events from the games. They then watched a presentation by the teachers and TAs about the different activities and events they would be participating in throughout the unit. To finish our sparkling Topic starter, the students took part in a short Olympic Games on the playground comprising of Gymnastic, Track and Field events.To close the Olympic Topic, Year 1 will be performing in their own Olympic opening and closing ceremonies, displaying their work and experiences from the course of the unit. They will then take part in, and officiate, a variety of Olympic events
